Who is responsible

This site is operated by Saarum Sodagar, trading as BuiltBySam, Morton Grove, Illinois. Questions about anything here: sam@builtbysamski.com or (847) 387-0244.

Information you give me

If you submit the contact form, I receive what you typed: your name, the phone number or email you provided, your business or website, who referred you, the services you ticked, your budget and timeline range, and your message. Form submissions are processed by Formspree and delivered to my email. If you would rather see what a build costs before typing anything into a form, the plans page carries the pricing. I keep them so I can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

If you use the free site-audit tool, it opens a pre-filled text message in your own messaging app. Nothing is transmitted to me unless you press send yourself.

The free website and Google audit

That form asks for your name, email, business, city, and website. The phone field is optional. There is also an optional checkbox. If you check it, you are saying BuiltBySam may call the number above about your audit, including calls using an AI assistant or an artificial or prerecorded voice. Consent is not required to get the audit. The form sends the checkbox answer to Formspree. If the box is checked, it also sends call_consent_timestamp, the time you submitted the form, in ISO 8601, plus consent_version (currently ai-voice-call-2026-10-29) and consent_text, the checkbox label exactly as it was written on the page when you submitted. If the box is not checked, those three fields are empty.

You can withdraw that consent anytime by telling BuiltBySam. Reply to the email I send, or write to sam@builtbysamski.com, and say you do not want those calls. I will stop calling that number about the audit.

If you arrived from a link with utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, or utm_content, the form sends those values to Formspree with the rest of what you typed. It also sends landing_page, the path of the first page in that browser tab, such as /local-morton-grove.html. The query string is not included in that path. Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-W8KDTFRQV9, records the visit, including campaign parameters that were on the landing URL, and it records one generate_lead event with form_name set to free_audit after Formspree accepts the form. I use those records to count audit requests by week and by campaign. I do not sell them.

Information collected automatically

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful. It records pages viewed, approximate location (city level, from IP address, which Google truncates), device and browser type, how you arrived, and interactions such as tapping the phone number or submitting a form. It uses cookies and similar storage to do this.

I use this to answer one question: which pages actually help someone decide to call. I do not use it to identify you personally, and I do not build advertising profiles.

Payments

Care plan and deposit payments are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Card numbers never touch this site and I never see them. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by their privacy policy.

Third parties that receive data

Google Analytics: usage analytics, including campaign parameters on a landing URL and the free-audit lead event
Formspree: contact form and free-audit form processing and delivery
Stripe: payment processing, only if you buy something
Netlify: website hosting; standard server logs
Google Fonts: typefaces, which involves a request to Google's servers

I do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, for any purpose. There is no mailing list you are added to without asking.

How long I keep things

Enquiries are kept for as long as there's a live conversation or an active client relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. Analytics data is retained on Google's default schedule. Ask me to delete your enquiry and I will.

Your choices

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email the address above. You can block analytics entirely with a browser extension or your browser's tracking protection, and the site will work exactly the same. Nothing on this site is gated behind giving me your details.

Children

This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
