What I collect, and what I don't.

Who is responsible

This site is operated by Saarum Sodagar, trading as BuiltBySam, Morton Grove, Illinois. Questions about anything here: sam@builtbysamski.com or (847) 387-0244.

Information you give me

If you submit the contact form, I receive what you typed: your name, the phone number or email you provided, your business or website, who referred you, the services you ticked, your budget and timeline range, and your message. Form submissions are processed by Formspree and delivered to my email. I keep them so I can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

If you use the free site-audit tool, it opens a pre-filled text message in your own messaging app. Nothing is transmitted to me unless you press send yourself.

Information collected automatically

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful. It records pages viewed, approximate location (city level, from IP address, which Google truncates), device and browser type, how you arrived, and interactions such as tapping the phone number or submitting a form. It uses cookies and similar storage to do this.

I use this to answer one question: which pages actually help someone decide to call. I do not use it to identify you personally, and I do not build advertising profiles.

Payments

Care plan and deposit payments are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Card numbers never touch this site and I never see them. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by their privacy policy.

Third parties that receive data

• Google Analytics — usage analytics
• Formspree — contact form processing and delivery
• Stripe — payment processing, only if you buy something
• Netlify — website hosting; standard server logs
• Google Fonts — typefaces, which involves a request to Google's servers

I do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, for any purpose. There is no mailing list you are added to without asking.

How long I keep things

Enquiries are kept for as long as there's a live conversation or an active client relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. Analytics data is retained on Google's default schedule. Ask me to delete your enquiry and I will.

Your choices

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it — email the address above. You can block analytics entirely with a browser extension or your browser's tracking protection, and the site will work exactly the same. Nothing on this site is gated behind giving me your details.

Children

This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
