You don't need an agency to find out if your website is losing you customers — you need 15 honest minutes and your own phone. These are the same five checks I run first in every paid audit. Run them tonight.
Open your homepage on your phone and pretend you've never seen it. In three seconds, can you tell what the business does, where it does it, and what to tap next? If any of those takes scrolling or thinking, that's your first leak — most visitors decide in that window.
Load your site on cellular data, not Wi-Fi. Count the seconds until you could actually read and tap. More than three feels broken to a customer — and Google agrees. (For the exact score, search "PageSpeed Insights" and paste your address — free, no signup — and my speed guide explains what the results mean.)
How many taps from landing to actually contacting you? The answer should be one — a phone number that dials when tapped, visible without scrolling. Count yours. Every extra tap sheds real customers, and a number that's just text on a phone screen is a dead end.
Would a stranger believe you're good? Real photos of real work, recent reviews, a human face, an address area. Stock photos and a 2021 copyright date read as "maybe closed."
Search your business name, then search your best service + your town. Are you the map pack? Page one? Nowhere? Then read your browser tab titles — if every page says the same thing, Google's confused too.
Scored three or more leaks? That's exactly what the free 60-second audit quantifies — or skip straight to the fix: (847) 387-0244.
