North Peak Financial Partners
PUBLISHED 2026-08-17 · ACCOUNTING, CONTROLLER & CFO ADVISORY
Three seconds to look trustworthy. North Peak sells accounting, controller services and advisory to growing businesses, which is a trust decision before it is anything else, because somebody is handing over their books to a firm they found online. In that category an amateur-looking site is disqualifying rather than cosmetic. That was the entire brief, and this is what I built against it.
The problem
North Peak offers accounting, controller services and CFO-level advisory to growing businesses. That is a trust sale before it is anything else: a prospect is deciding whether to hand over their books, their payroll and their numbers to someone they found online.
In that category, an amateur-looking website is not a cosmetic problem. It is disqualifying. The client's own words for the requirement were that it had to look polished and trustworthy right out of the gate, because credibility is the product.
What the site had to do
- Read as established and competent within the first screen, on a phone
- Separate three services that sound similar to an outsider (bookkeeping, controller work, and CFO advisory) so a visitor can self-identify
- Give a business owner language for a problem they feel but cannot name
- Route to one obvious next step: a free consultation
What I built
A static, fast, fully custom site with no template underneath it. The structure follows how the buyer actually thinks rather than how an accountant would organise a service list:
- “Beyond bookkeeping: financial leadership” establishes the category difference immediately
- “Where growing businesses actually lose money” names the pain before selling the service
- “What is disorganized bookkeeping costing you?” turns a vague worry into a number the owner can feel
- “A clear path from chaos to clarity” makes the engagement feel finite rather than open-ended
- “Practical guidance, no jargon” answers the unspoken fear of being talked down to
Underneath: AccountingService structured data so search engines classify the practice correctly, a canonical URL, social share cards, and a single conversion path to a free consultation. Articles were added on subjects their clients genuinely search, including quarterly estimated taxes.
What the client said
“He took the time to understand what our practice does and translated it into a clean, professional site that actually represents us well. Sam was responsive, clearly explained his recommendations, and didn’t overcomplicate things. He just got it done right.”
“What stood out most was how well he understood what a financial services site needs to look like: credible and professional. Communication was fast and clear throughout, and the end result looks and functions exactly how we wanted.”
What I am not going to claim
The site is new. I have no traffic numbers, no lead counts and no revenue figures to show you, and I am not going to invent them or dress up an early number as a trend. What exists is a live site, a named client who put their name to their opinion publicly, and work you can click through and judge yourself.
When there is a year of data worth showing, it will appear here with the same specificity.
