About
The person you call is the person who builds it.
No account manager, no offshore team, no handoff chain. One builder in Morton Grove, and a phone number that reaches him.
Who you're hiring
I'm Sam. I build websites, automation and content systems for small businesses across Chicagoland, out of Morton Grove. I have a finance degree, which is why every quote on this site comes with the math behind it instead of a number and a shrug — and why my first question is usually what a customer is worth to you, not what colour you want the buttons.
My business partner is an accountant, so the finance and back-office work I take on is reviewed by someone who does it professionally. He is not a CPA, and I'm not going to imply otherwise.
I work alone on purpose. Agencies pass a project down a chain — account manager to designer to developer to copywriter — and stack markup at every handoff. Here the person who answers the phone is the person writing the code. That's the whole model.

Why my face is on everything
Most agency sites hide behind a logo and a stock photo of a team that doesn't work there. I put an illustrated version of my own face on the badge, the business cards and the footer of every page — because people like real things, and because a face is a promise you can't quietly break. If the work is bad, you know exactly whose face to be annoyed at.
Why the homepage is a basketball game
A portfolio of screenshots proves you can take screenshots. The homepage of this site is a playable 3D basketball game, built from scratch in the browser — real-time rendering, custom physics, joystick controls, no game engine. It exists because the fastest way to answer "can he actually build things?" is to hand you something built and let you play with it.
How I price
Publicly. Every price on this site is real: the calculators run the same logic I use to quote, the care plans are listed with exact numbers, and the beat-the-quote guarantee means you can bring a written agency quote for the same scope and I'll beat it. There is no discovery call designed to find out how much you can afford.
What I won't do
I won't invent testimonials, fabricate case studies, or publish a statistic I can't source. The teardowns in the Playbook are labelled as composites because that's what they are. If I haven't verified something, I say so — including on my own work.
